site working to provide a legal resource to those working against bullying
or harassment of any kind in the workplace. It has not been updated in
some time however so you should not rely on it! It is quite possible and
even very likely that the law has been updated since the information in
this site was written. Please seek advice from your trade union or a qualified
solicitor instead. If you have household insurance you will probably find
that the proteciton of your job in this way is covered by your household
insurance in any event!
Anybody who has read law will tell you that legal issues are often extremely complex. We seek to present this site in such a way as to make these issues as accessible as possible for all concerned, whether they be target, employer, trade union representative or personnel specialist. The law however does change regularly so please do not rely on the information you read here. This site has not been updated in the legal sense since I was reading law at Bristol University back in the year 2000.
Whilst bullying may only be perpetrated by the bully, we focus our attention on the industrial relations issues and advise structural and cultural changes in order to minimize the risk of such a problem developing.

Do NOT take your freedom of speech for granted! The Labour Government in the UK are currently going through some of the most draconian attacks on your civil liberties and human rights ever seen, even to the extent of seriously undermining the Magna Carta and lying about it at every turn. This site respects human rights and civil liberties. Labour may have introduced the Human Rights Act but they are NOT supporting the principles! I am a life long labour supporter and I am sick of all the attacks on civil liberties and bans on just about anything that moves (EXCLUDING hunting with hounds because that is about animal cruelty) that does not fit with their utopian view of the world as it should be. If you value the freedom that our ancestors fought and died to give us then the answer as to voting in any future election whilst labour are still in power is clear...dont vote for them!
